W Club, Burning Pit, Bar 29 - No more Tom Yum but got CKT

OK guys..... I know that it has been a very dry few months since the MCO is in place..... No more Tom Yum (but still got some places that have some Popiah - private parties). Since a couple of months ago, I have also noticed that many TFC have now converted to CKT already........ this is just a list of the few places that I have been. I am sure that there are still many out there!

First on the list is the old and trusted W Club! The pic above is from an old post in TFCguy.com. They now have local CKT in there and have a significantly reduced numbers of table. At least half the tables have disappeared. So, it is not as crowed as before. We estimate that there are only about 25 to 30 local CKT in the place but I have to admit that the quality of some of the CKT are quite impressive! This place is also very popular - so, if you have not made any reservation, do not expect to be able to go in! I tried twice to get in without reservation and failed!

Burning Pit is an excellent restaurant. Quiet and a little rustic. However, upstairs, it is definitely another different world! It is actually a very small space but is crowded with tables and customers. Zero Social Distancing whatsoever! But this small little place can cramp in another 20 to 25 local CKT and have many professional customers. The CKT and some Nasi Lemak are mostly quite professional with full time jobs as well..... junior lawyers and accountants are among the PR there! So, just be careful guys, some of these CKT/ NL are even smarter than you!!!

I'm sure many of you have been to a Bar 29 in the past, whether in Scotts Garden, Puchong or Sri Hartamas. I've been to the Hartamas outlet recently and there are definitely some CKT in there. Not many tables available (about 12 or 15 tables only) but about 15 CKT PR working there. Bar 29 still delivers the most classic local PR experience compared the the above 2. Most of the PR there are the experienced PR from all around KL and JB (yes, some JB PR came to KL to work already) and does the classic "pek" whisky and all - true alcoholics!

I am sure there are many other places that is already opened as well. I have also heard Secret Garden is also opened with Tom Yums and Popiah working already but I have not been there to confirm it. So, if any of you have been there, just drop us a comment so other readers can be better informed also.

Have fun guys and be safe! Get a Grab if can these days coz there have been many many police blocks as well!

    5. Liquor prices are expensive too. But since there’s no lady drinks or flowers, I guess it works out to about the same cost.
